lt’s easy!
Register for class in MindBody just like you have been.
Once you’ve booked a live stream class, here’s what comes next.
Step 1: Check your email for the live stream link **Beginning January 16th. All weekly classes are streamed on MindBody Live, all trainings and workshops are hosted through Zoom.
Live stream links are sent out 30 minutes before the start of class. If you’re booking within the last 30 minutes, then you’ll receive the email (currently English language only) within a minute or two.
You can also find the link in your schedule on mindbodyonline.com/explore 30 minutes before class begins.
Or, you can tap Join Livestream in your schedule in the Mindbody app.
Additionally, you can join the class from your favorite studio’s website. Just log in and head to your schedule to find the link.
If you’re unable to join class though you’ve received the email with the live stream link, call the business. It’s likely that you have duplicate profiles there, and a staff member will be able to resolve that issue for you.
Step 2: Decide which browser and device you’ll use to attend class
On a desktop, live stream classes work better on Google Chrome. You can also download Mindbody Live—a program that improves the live stream experience on a desktop or laptop.
On a mobile device, the best experience will be found on iOS Safari or Chrome for Android.
If you are using an iOS device, you must disable the pop up blocker. Here’s how to do that:
Go to Settings > Safari.
In the General section, tap the Block Pop-ups toggle. It will turn white to indicate it’s turned off.
Step 3: Log in to the live stream class
You have a couple of login options here. You can log in with:
Your studio login: This is the login you use to access the studio’s (or business you’re attending the live stream class at) site on a web browser.
Your Mindbody account: This is the login you use on the Mindbody app or the business’s app.
If class hasn’t started yet, you’ll hang out in a waiting room.
Step 4: Set your camera and microphone preferences
Your browser will ask to access your camera and microphone. Choose Allow—you’ll still be able to mute your mic or turn off your camera in class if you’d like, but enabling at the browser level ensures you have control when the live stream starts.
You can use the microphone and camera buttons at the top to set your preferences.
If your camera and/or microphone are not working, use the link below to learn how to enable your camera and mic for the class. Also, keep in mind that only the first 15 attendees can share their video.
Chrome
Only 15 participants can share their video during class, so if you’re the 16th person to join, you may see this message:
Step 5: Join the class
When you’re ready to join the class, click Join at the top.
You can click on the Full screen icon on the right to enlarge the video to full screen view during class. You also have the option to change views:
Presenter view shows the instructor’s video
Grid view shows up to 15 participants’ videos along with the instructor’s video in a grid. This view is not available on mobile devices.
Additionally, you can use the chat box to communicate with the teacher or their assistant. Keep in mind that there is no private chat option — all participants can see what you post. Just click on the chat icon on the left, and the chat box will open.
When class is over, you can click Leave live stream, then Sign Out.
Having trouble connecting?
- Mindbody works best with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox browsers
- Be sure your chosen browser it is updated
- Be sure your device is updated
- Clearing the cache, history and browsing data can help. If your device is used for work or lots of online browsing, the cache and histories being full can negatively affect the video quality
Props
Before class begins, be sure to grab what you will need to support your practice. You can always use some items around the house as well if you do not have yoga props at home.
We recommend:
For Swan Align: 2 blocks, 1 strap, a bolster, or anything shaped like these things for practice, such as your bed pillows, stacked books or a scarf.
For Restorative yoga: 2 bolsters or pillows from your bed, 2 blankets, 2 blocks or books stacked like blocks, and 1 eight foot strap or long scarf to use like a belt.
For a traditional Sound Bath: you can also choose to totally lie down in Sound Bath and not move at all, needing no props but instead lying on your couch
