Description:
In this 30-hour Pre-natal Teacher Training, you will learn about pregnancy and how the practice of yoga can support all mothers through the miraculous process of birth. The training is designed for certified yoga teachers who wish to gain confidence in having pregnant students in your public classes, as well as create a safe pre-natal specific class or private. You will be led by 4 diverse and well-educated teachers coming from backgrounds in yoga, yoga therapy, ayurveda, doula services, and nursing, plus a special guest who specializes in pelvic floor Physical Therapy.

Learn safe sequencing, asana modifications and props for pregnancy, as well as pranayama and restoration techniques. Learn how to effectively communicate with and assist your pregnant students throughout each trimester. Our educators will also lecture on the process of childbirth, emotions involved, fertility, common concerns, pelvic floor anatomy and health, and ayurvedic health and nutrition for radiant pregnancy and birth.

About the Teachers:
Kelly Haas – Kelly, RYT-500, Yoga Therapist, Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, avid Spanish-speaker, is sought after for her skilled eyes and hands in therapeutic and alignment-based yoga. She shares her depth of clear, biomechanics alignment through all levels yoga asana classes, restorative, and privates, as well as pre-natal and specializes in specific conditions and integra-tive yoga therapies to make yoga accessible to every body. She has thousands of hours in intensive yogic studies and trainings and over a decade’s teach-ing experience. She had the great fortune to manage the world tour for Anusara Yoga’s Founder for nearly 7 years, managing all aspects of Anusara’s events, while receiving countless hours of philosophy, asana, therapeutics, and hands-on adjustment training. Prior to, she directed the yoga program at Pura Vida Spa in Costa Rica (www.puravidaspa.com), where she was intro-duced to many influential teachers and a variety of yoga and healing therapies. Kelly has taught yoga and therapeutics and traveled widely in the U.S., Latin America, and Asia.

Addy Meisenheimer – Addy is a yoga instructor, labor and deliver nurse, and “retired” birth doula. As the proud daughter of a midwife, Addy was taught from a young age to have absolute appreciation for pregnant women and mothers. It is her life’s work to assist women (especially through yoga) in being empowered during their pregnancy, birth process, and the initiation into motherhood.

Jessica Blanchard – Jessica is a yoga teacher (ERYT-500), registered dietitian and longtime ayurvedic practitioner. She’s spent the last fifteen years learning all she can about yoga, breathing and nutrition. She combines the best of ancient wisdom with western science to offer a uniquely balanced approach. Her mission is to help mothers-to-be to find a healthy approach to pregnancy, childbirth and life with babies.

Michelle Baker – Michelle is the Founder and co-owner of Swan River Yoga, the director of the Swan River Yoga Teacher Training, member of the musical kirtan group Bhakti Caravan and a co-owner of Good Karma Prasad Cafe. She has been blessed with teaching yoga full time in New Orleans, the entire Gulf Region, NYC, the U.S. & internationally since 1998.

Her primary certifications are with Jivamukti Yoga, Anusara Yoga & a student of Ashtanga in Mysore, India. She is also a Reiki Level III Master and has a certification in Ayurvedic Thai Yoga Massage from Thailand. She takes numerous trips to learn from the Motherland of India to experience the ecstatic in the form of mantra singing, harmonium & Sanskrit studies.

She is a Reiki Master, leading numerous Reiki attunements to train others, and teaches 4 well-attended, successful Restorative Yoga Classes per week, including the well-known Sound Bath.

Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion and practiced by singing, dancing, ritual,art, serving & feeding others is her main path of passion.

Along with offering a 6 month Yoga Teacher Training each year, she also offers Advanced study workshops in various studios, Meditation Classes, the Art of Physical Assists, Reiki & Bhakti Workshops. She enjoys teaching/offering others to become teachers, recognizing the Guru within.
