Private Yoga Sessions
These sessions are ideal to focus on a “goal” pose, such as an inversion (headstand, handstand etc), an arm balance, or to experience a challenging, satisfying vinyasa practice. Expect physical challenge and a well-earned savasana. Client-recommended music is welcome!

INTEGRATIVE YOGA & THERAPEUTICS
An Integrative Yoga private is a personalized 1:1 session designed to make the practices of yoga accessible to each student’s specific needs. Our Integrative Yoga providers each have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience including multiple certifications (feel free to read their bios to learn more). These teachers use skillful eyes, extensive experience and advanced therapeutic education to craft programs for students with chronic health issues, disabilities, post-op conditions, injuries.
Sessions are also ideal for holistic health to prevent injury, increase mobility, boost energy, mood, wellbeing, and physical and emotional balance. Meditative guidance may also be included. These sessions promote overall health and vitality, while allowing for skillful manual hands on work and artful alignment to medicinally apply the practice.
Internal Family Systems & Yoga
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a transformative approach that sees human beings as intricate systems comprised of protective and wounded inner parts, guided by a core Self. IFS fosters inner and outer interconnectedness by accessing the Self to understand and heal these parts. It helps understand relationships and promotes living with confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and Connectedness.
Catherine Kennedy integrates IFS and yoga, harnessing the mind-body connection to assist individuals in identifying and engaging with their internal parts. IFS complements yoga by delving into the sensations, emotions, and messages within the body. By connecting to the Self, individuals develop a compassionate relationship with their parts. Yoga serves as a medium for dialogue with these parts, fostering harmony and well-being. This integration facilitates self-awareness, regulation, and healing. IFS emphasizes that the Self is a nurturing and compassionate essence that attends to each and every part.
From her personal experience, Catherine has come to believe that by wholeheartedly tending to and healing our inner family, we can cultivate the ability to extend the same loving care and attention to our families, friends, co-workers, and communities at large.
Known for its transformative benefits, the practice of Kundalini Yoga builds physical strength and stamina. With sustained practice, Kundalini Yoga enhances cognitive function, emotional fitness, and spiritual connection. Kundalini Yoga focuses on moving and transforming energy using a kriyā, or “action”, in Sanskrit. Kriyās are a specific sequence of yogic techniques and meditations to create a specific result through repetitive practice. Results could be physical, emotional, and spiritual. Working 1:1 with Steph Navjeet allows the practitioner to consult and be supported by her decades of study and practice in a private setting.

Guided Meditation and Self-Hypnosis
Accessing the power of the subconscious mind has been the corner stone of healing in every culture throughout history. Guided meditation (which over time can become self-led) retrains the mind for more optimal processing and perceptual experience. Being led by a trained guide helps facilitate positive shifts (based on the brain’s neuroplasticity) to create lasting behavioral changes and transform important personal beliefs, self-image and automatic emotional responses. Private sessions are one-on-one and designed just for you. Appointments can be 55, 90 or 120 minutes in length. These sessions can be in-person, via Zoom or over the phone.

Our team offers various types of private and small group sound bath sessions. Our teachers are trained in sound therapy as well as music therapy, which makes use of client-preferred music in a therapeutic setting. Coaching for Yoga Teachers is a 1:1 private session for yoga teachers with Swan River Yoga Owner Keith Porteous Meade. Keith draws on 16 years of yoga teaching and studio ownership to hold space for reflections regarding the practice of yoga teaching. These sessions can be used to discuss the art of teaching, ask questions, demonstrate sequences, explore the language of yoga, practice chanting and playing the harmonium, work on clear, professional relationships within the yoga sphere, and incorporate the dharma into group classes.
